Smallholder Agroforestry Carbon Methodology Development

As part of the Acorn programme that aims to build a global, transparent carbon removal system for smallholder farmers who sequester carbon on their land using agroforestry techniques, Rabobank has developed a methodology for quantification of carbon benefits of smallholder agroforestry projects. The methodology uses a combination of remote sensing and ground-based measurements and was submitted to Plan Vivo for approval. TLLG assisted Rabobank to revise and restructure the methodology in response to comments from the Plan Vivo Technical Advisory Committee and the Validation and Verification bodies that conducted the review.
