Environmental and Social Due Diligence of REDD Project, Zambia

BioCarbon Partners (BCP) implement two REDD (Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) projects in Lusaka and Eastern Provinces in Zambia. These are landscape-scale REDD project activities that work with communities in rural Zambia, supporting these communities to implement Community Forest Management in order to reduce deforestation and degradation.

TLLG conducted an Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) of the Luangwa Community Forest Program (LCFP), including the application of the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC’s) Performance Standards, and worked with Synergy Global to conduct a Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA).
