TLLG was established in 2017 by a group of environmental and social experts with an interest in supporting the development of nature-based solutions to global environmental and humanitarian challenges. Our team of experts continues to expand enabling us to support a growing number of projects and programmes at all stages of their development including design, implementation, evaluation, and applying lessons learned.

We provide support across three thematic areas:

  • Natural Climate Solutions - protection, restoration, and improved land management actions that increase carbon storage and/or avoid greenhouse gas emissions from forests, wetlands, grasslands, and agricultural lands.

  • Forest and Landscape Restoration –restoring ecological functionality and enhancing human well-being across deforested or degraded forest landscapes.

  • Biodiversity Conservation – protecting and preserving species, habitats, ecosystems, and genetic diversity.

TLLG are currently working with agriculture and forestry carbon projects in Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America, that are certified or seeking certification by the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Climate Community and Biodiversity Standards (CCBS), Gold Standard and Plan Vivo Standard.
